Nowhere

preciousken Delicious Glasgow slow droning darkwave. Lots of swirl and down tempo with singer Paula Borges giving rich melting chocolate to pour slowly on that buzzing synth. Definitely hearing big audio heaven sound stretching. Sometimes in a mix you can feel one aspect or another too far away. Here everything feels underwater in equal measure and it gives the music a surreal quality. The tension is great and gives this feeling of being on a submarine sinking closer to the crush point. Favorite track: Power over you.

floatingslowly This is a masterpiece. Its hard to pick a favorite track. I've purchased a lot of music recently, but I only want to listen to this album. Favorite track: Remind.

I know 03:48
You tell the truth when you’re a liar You’re the one I did not need The voices tell you to untie her They’re all wrong except for me I know You insist I am the culprit The world’s ready for your seed I have called you with my demons You’re the cleaner you’re the priest I know You convinced me I know
2.
Fix me 03:23
I’ve been your mistress for so long Carrying the hole you love to dig Pieces are broken, tissues wrong Didn’t you say that you would Fix me? Give me the memories that I miss Haunt me, with the name that’s his Saving your prayers for his son Uttering words from your dry lips Her tragedy’s ours not her own Didn’t you promise you would Fix me? Give me the memories that I miss Haunt me, with the name that’s his
3.
Pieces 03:06
Just say the thing you said before You make it real just with your lips Is she a mother or a whore? Or everything you’d like to be This time I’m going to make it mine I’m going to leave it all in pieces Don’t squirm let the fire burn When your turn comes you will miss it Just be the thing you were before Time cannot win when you have secrets Is she the thing you want to love? Pretend so well that it’s convincing This time I’m going to make it mine I’m going to leave it all in pieces Don’t squirm let the fire burn When your turn comes you will miss it You will miss it
4.
Whole 03:43
Oh God you sent me over to a nice clean home And soon I’ll rest my head on a soft pillow And you’ll hear my voice saying no This isn’t what I want I’ve been so detached from the rest of the world My eyes so wide, my skin so bare And you’ll read my thoughts thinking no This isn’t enough One night I went to bed but you did not I looked outside it looked so dead And you’ll see my dreams dreaming no I don’t feel whole
5.
What I want Want the truth? All I want Is power over you What I want What’s my goal All I want Is a fragment of your soul What I want Is it bad? All I want Is your life and your death The only word You will say The only word Will always be my name
6.
Again 03:45
I don’t want to be better I don’t need to go further Let us all forget her She’s not worth the burden I’ll ask for your help again I’ll fill it up again I’ll raise my hand again Just to be ignored again I’m not here for vengeance I don’t need the bother Let us all remind her That she’ll be forgotten I’ll ask for your help again I’ll fill it up again I’ll raise my hand again Just to be ignored again
7.
He is coming Rising from the dead Damn your savior Curse your flag They are crossing Coming from a land That’s no longer A place where you can stand He is coming Let’s tell him what we think You’re no lamb and you’re no king You can’t breathe with The cloth around your head Its crest has swallowed Your face in
8.
Grin 03:23
Is it because of me? I am almost existing Dragging myself up Close to the surface Is it because of us? We are filled with the fire You make it carry on Like your own founding father Spin the gun, aim to someone Rehearse the grin you’ll show to no one You see these empty walls We’ve found our shelter Forever I am yours Never mine Is it because of me? I am almost persistent Is it because of them? They are never replying Spin the gun, aim to someone Rehearse the grin you’ll show to no one
9.
Even 02:44
Even this, even you Even me, even the holy trinity Crossed arms, turned to stone Even I have been touched Even faith lost is scent Even strong descend Cross arms, dry spell Even I have been held Through your sheets Through your veil Even I have been felt
10.
Remind 04:41
The pictures on the wall remind Of the eternal war you fight I get this funny call from your mouth I pray like it’s before, not now It’s never what it seems when you drown The ghost of memories that hound Then dragging heavy chains it crawls Once buried in your sleep now out

about

Written, recorded and produced in Sao Paulo, Brazil in June 2018.

''It is an enchanting bound of droning vibrant organs, hovering synths, and restrained female singing. Undoubtedly this is an uncompromising yet blissful pop album inspired by Joy Division yet drifting toward more synth-driven direction. Yet it is neither a new wave nor a synth-pop release. Its poppy strain reflects upon something else. At times it may be considered an accelerated version of Lycia or a pre-exorcized rebound of Cocteau Twins. If such a sort of album were released 35-40 years ago it would have been considered a hallmark outing.''

"Soft, beautiful female vocals and dark synth textures add up to some great songs from this duo. Deep, passionate, longing music that you will want to play again and again" Rodney Orpheus, The Cassandra Complex
